🚀 Job Listing Archive

If you’re using Notion to keep track of job listings, this template can be of use. Below I explain the different ways to use the template, where the Contacts and Job Listings databases connect, and how to include dates for interviews inside a calendar. Here’s how it works.

The Job Hunting Dashboard

Job Listing Archive Database (Leads) Properties

Save job listings to the main database view. Collect companies, record company size, and add various descriptors to the job title like job type (ie. Associate) and job tier (ie. Entry Level).

Job Listing Calendar View (Interviews)

The next database view inside the job listings database is a calendar to schedule and keep track of interviews. You can include the time inside the date property as well.

Contacted Job Listings List View (CV Sent)

The last view is a list of companies that have received a CV or resume. This view has a filter to only show the checkbox labeled “CV Sent“ when it is ticked as true.

You can configure the main database view in the same way to exclude listings that have been contacted. (Add a filter: (…) > filter)

Company Contacts Database Properties

A relation property connects the Job Listings database to the Contacts database. Inside the contacts database are properties like email, job title associated and interview date rolled up from the job listings database.

The interview date rollup is configured to find the number of days until the interview is scheduled.

Extra: use the body of a job listings page to prepare interview questions or notes from the interview that may be valuable for the next. Good luck with your job seeking journey!
