🗒 Notes Template

Notion is a must-have for students. Here is one way to setup a class/lecture notes page with the template button. Notion’s template button will allow a student to duplicate unique page formatting in a page. Here is one example of how to do that. Included are two columns. One for the notes and another for an understanding assessment.

How The Notes Template Works

First, create a page for every lecture or subject. Using the template button inside the page, create a new note layout for each subtopic discussed. Lastly, determine the level of understanding you have of the subtopic.

If you duplicate the template below, a footers section will be included. If you want to link to this footer via the template, follow the directions below.

How To Configure The Notion Template Button

I created a separate page to first setup the design of my template with columns, headers, checkboxes and all. (create columns by dragging blocks next to each other)

Next, I dragged this page inside a template button’s configuration box. All I did next was convert that page to text and the template was nearly complete.

Connect Each Subsection To A Footer Block

Go to the main page of your notes and select the 6 dots next to it to bring up a block menu. In this menu will be an option to Copy link.

Copy the link > return to template button > highlight “To Footnotes” or desired text that will act as the link > paste link
