📝 Note Processing

The comment function is seriously under-used in my Notion workspace. However great for making personal comments to go “edit later,” I never thought it could serve as an external note-taking tool. In the following example, I want to show you how I use comments to minimize my book processing.

Highlight Word(s) + Comment

For every chapter from a book I’m reading, I summarize into 1-2 sentences (preferably 1). Next, I comment key terms in the sentence that can benefit from more context.

This forces me to really think about my summaries; to be more deliberate.

Upon clicking a block with more than 1 comment, I can scroll through every comment inside.

I use the symbol “>” and italicize text that represent a quote.
