Notion Template: Simple Podcast Notes
My Favorite Podcasts Right Now
This Day In Esoteric Political History: A recent find. I believe there is only one episode. Such a great idea. A wonderful podcast for my fellow history buffs, and an escape for political junkies that want a break from current news.
The NPR Politics Podcast: My daily go-to for the news. It's usually no longer than 15-minutes.
How's Work? with Esther Perel: An absolute gem for workers trying to manage mental health, socializing, conflicts and being in the workplace in general. Navigating professional relationships is something no one teaches. This podcast does.
Planet Money: A classic. The title says it all. Challenging at times but easy enough to understand. Whether you’re new to the world of finance or an expert, this podcast can be of use.
How The Podcast Notes Work
The template is built with relation in a hierarchical fashion. Every podcast links to an episode or series of episodes, and every episode has a property to organize notable timestamps. Each database view is filtered by relational uses. For example, if an entry’s podcast relation property is empty, the page will appear in “podcasts.” The reason for this procedure is simple. Podcasts are at the top of the hierarchy, thus there is no need to fill out this property. However, it will have “podcast episode” property filled out.
In short:
Podcast connects to podcast episode property.
Podcast episode connects to podcast property.
