How To Tag Like A Pro In Notion
Create a Tag Gallery
Let's begin with how we can incorporate smaller databases into a master list using relation. In this example we want to create an archive for a lifestyle blog. And so, the elements (databases) we want to tag inside this wall are Content and Writers.
First, we're going to create a separate gallery database for tags. In this case, each blog post has a Category and a set of Tags. Each writer is assigned to a particular Category as well.
Create a gallery database
Under "Name" property :: Insert Categories with one emoji and Tag names with another
Select properties :: Card Preview :: None
Customize → Select properties :: Card Size (Below is an example of Small)
Add Property :: Relation :: Grab Writers database
Add Property :: Relation :: Grab Content database
How To Use One Tag Wall For Multiple Databases
You may notice that two new properties have appeared inside the two databases we are working with. These properties will read Related Tag Wall - ... → rename this to "Tags".
Select the empty cell below Tags :: Select corresponding tags
Navigating The Tag Wall
Everything inside our content database that would otherwise use a default multi-select property for tagging, will now have an archival purpose. Every relational tag used will automatically update inside the tag wall, as shown below:
