My reading notes have been a work in progress. As with most of my endeavors, this database was a lot more robust to start, then as my reading progressed, the bare essentials began to creep to the surface. The basic prompt I use for all genres is as follows:

• Short summary at the top

• Setting or Author’s motive

• Order of events or arguments

• Solutions

• Criticisms

• Give or take other elements according to genre of book (I provide sub-templates for each)
